Pen and Marker on Unidentified Hardwood.

Went to camp with the scouts this weekend, someone had provided firewood in the form of scrap wood left over from some project, I helped myself to a piece.

The Lab Pat Two

Wow, I'm really bad at this once a week thing; but I have been more consistent in the last Six months, than I was in the Previous two years.

Bigfoot Part Seven

A Little Late on this one . . . Sorry. I have 3 scripts written for the upcoming weeks. I ended up using the Dialogue that I had written into the original art this time. It's a little sloppier, what do you think? Stick to the font?

Bigfoot Part Six Point Five

A little *BONUS* comic to lighten your day, since I've been so bad about updates for the last month. This explains the... ... "static" nature of the last comic.

Bigfoot Part Six

Sorry about the lack of updates. December was busy.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!

This one is all analog. No Computer Coloring or color adjusting. I just removed the white paper. Hope you enjoy it.

Bigfoot Part Five

There are no excuses, this is just plain late. Sorry.

Bigfoot Part Four

Terribly sorry for missing last week. I was attempting to dig my scanner and desktop computer out of the pile it was buried under. After I uncovered it, I attempted to scan on my windows 2000 computer using Microsoft Virtual PC running Windows 98 (my scanner is OLD and the newest working drivers are for 98) but I could not get the Virtual PC to recognize that the scanner was attached. I have since "inherited" my Dad's old scanner, and this is the first comic done using the "new" scanner.

If anyone is a master of Virtual PC and has any insight into convincing it that I do indeed have a scanner attached, I would appreciate it. This "New" scanner is really great—but it is not Large Format, like the old one. (It's an LPT Scanner)

*Also, if the text is too small to read on your screen, clicking on the comic links to a larger copy.

Bigfoot Part Three

The Story Continues, and I'm fixing last weeks spelling error. Please comment if you like the comics.

EDIT: Apparently there was a spelling error in this comic as well. I corrected it.

New comic, and on time this week. Hooray.

Bigfoot Part One

I have to apologize to the (probably two) readers that I have for getting this up so late.

Only TRON Fans Need Apply

OK, so I had one more one-shot. This was originally drawn after the announcement of TR2N at E3. I Just wanted something to play with in Photoshop, and TRON seemed like it would have lots of special effects to work with—you know, really get those creative Photoshop juices flowing.

(10/22/2008) UPDATE: Apparently I'm not the only one with TRON on the mind 20–some–odd years later.

Sheldon

(10/27/2008) UPDATE: This one is from 2002, but I just ran across it today.

Dragon

I think this is the last of the In Media Res comics that I have for now. I have a story that should run a few weeks that I wrote recently that I need to start drawing if I'm going to keep up.

Death? — Don't Make Me Laugh.

Another comic made for the sake of experimentation.
The Dialog for this came pretty easy, so chances are I spelled something wrong. It's very late, but I wanted to keep as close to my self imposed schedule as possible. I forgot to work on this all week. . . . Spore.

Squishy in Wonderland?

When I first drew this. It was for experimentation. I had a Vague Alice in Wonderland visual reference combined with some sort of Time Travel or Time Distortion Event in Mind.

Let's consider this a "contest" of sorts. If you come up with some good dialog, put it in the comments. I'll pick one and update the artwork to reflect the best one. That's all I can offer as a prize at this point.

Dick Squishy

There is no continuity here. It doesn't stem from anything and it doesn't lead to anything. In fact, it is going up late because I had to come up with some Dialogue for it. Originally I was just drawing for the sake of drawing when I created this; I have several different comics that similarly, currently have no dialogue that I'll be posting over the next few weeks. I'll probably come up with Dialogue for some of them, and when I get to the last one, perhaps I'll have a contest.

So Wrong

I was working in a call center when I wrote this one. There's one thing that a call center job will do—and that is suck the life and joy right out of you. OK, maybe not YOU personally. I actually met people in the five years that I spent in call centers that truly enjoyed it, but those people were few and far between.

Honestly, this was drawn just to express my personal disgust with the drudgery I was dealing with daily: week after week; year after year. Like Mickey Mouse is an extension of Walt Disney, Mr. Squishy is an Extension of me, and he would probably do worse in a call center than I did. That's the Irony that makes this a very funny joke to me. Other's may not get it, but now it is here for all to see.

Factory Tour

I planned on getting this posted Saturday: Let me tell a little story about Friday. I got up at 5:15am as I always do, to get ready for work. I then went to work and arrived home as I normally do. That night my wife had a girl's night out and would not be leaving the festivities until 12:00am Saturday morning. I invited some friends over. We played The Settlers of Catan Card game with the Wizards and Dragons expansion, then later when we had more people we played Humans!!!

When my wife got home it was quite late (1:00am-ish). I stumbled into bed a bit before she did, and right as I dozed off I felt her pushing me. After a second push, I blearily asked "What?"

She informed me that her water broke. I helped her get packed. And we drove a very confused two year old to my parents, then to the Hospital, arriving about 2:00am-ish.

At 5:15am my wife was still getting poked and prodded and prepped.
Around 6:30 the poking and prodding had reduced and the Epidural had kicked in. She got about a 3 hour Nap, I think I got about one hour — every time they came in to poke at her it woke me up — go figure.

Anyway, at 9:41am Aug 16, 2008 we welcomed Kella into the world. 6lbs. 14 oz. 19.5 inches.
The Best reason ever for a post to be late.

Running Late: But Well Prepared

Number Three, using a new process to import the images to the computer. The Lines aren't clean; I like the roughness, it preserves the life of the original sketch. Also, I'm now using a newly created font based on my handwriting (older comics have been updated with the font as well).

Lights Out

A year and a half later, and I finally posted. This one only took me 2 hours to prepare. I know the text is a little small. Click on the image for a Hi-rez Version.

Edit: I've re-done the text using a font that I made. Based on my handwriting.

# THE FIRST

Well, Here we are. I thought I could Bust out an Image in a day. And it took me a week. Oh well. Maybe this will be a weekly comic instead of a Thrice weekly comic.
